He is also currently working on a project to create an Elder Care Resource Center where he will work alongside local Elder Planning Attorneys to assist the local senior population with the determination of and qualification for various government and private benefits such as social security benefits, veterans’ benefits, long-term care benefits, specialized pension programs, and special needs programs.

Jenée considers herself an Atlanta native, though her birth certificate would disagree. During her fifteen years living in Marietta, GA, she absolutely fell in love with ‘southern living.’ She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications & Rhetoric Studies from Oglethorpe University in 2006 and has spent the time since marrying her best friend, having their first child, and finding her career niche. She and her husband relocated to Kentucky after a casual visit here; they were immediately smitten with everything about life in Lexington!
In past years she has had the pleasure of working for both small companies and large corporations; though there are benefits to both, she highly prefers the close-knit, family environment that she has presently found. She thoroughly enjoys being a contributing cog in the wheels that drive Family Wealth Group. Her role is to help the office operate as smoothly as possible, and she is constantly on the hunt to find ways to make Family Wealth Group more efficient.
In her spare time, Jenée reads, writes, dreams up art projects, and allows her toddler to remind her of the true joys in life.
Financial Care Coordinator
Cyan is a Kentucky girl, born and raised! She grew up and attended school right here in central Kentucky. After finishing school she went into the Graphic Ad Design business for a few years, then moved to Northern Kentucky where she worked at Fidelity Investments in the Research Department and was soon promoted to Project Coordinator on the 401K side of the Company.
She moved to Lexington in October of 2010 and has been working for Family Wealth Group since that time as a Financial Care Coordinator. Her main focus revolves around the set-up and progress of annuity and life insurance applications. She is an integral part to the Family Wealth team. She loves being part of the family environment that the group maintains and absolutely loves meeting and getting know our clients face-to-face.
Client Care Coordinator
Lisa grew up as the daughter of a career Air Force officer and had many opportunities to travel with her parents. She started her college education at the University of Oklahoma and finished up at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, with a degree in Business Finance. She learned the basics at a very early age. Fiscal responsibility, financial planning, and systematic investing were all common dinner table topics in the Jack household. She started reading monthly statements at the knee of her father who loved to share knowledge and have discussions about all things investment-related. She received her formal training with Merrill Lynch and has also been with Prudential Securities, Hilliard Lyons and an independent money manager. Working at each firm gave her valuable experience and insight, but she always felt that something was missing. Each place had a high rate of turnover for both staff and clients, which can become stressful and dehumanizing. When she found Kevin Metzler and the crew at Family Wealth Group, the final pieces of the puzzle came together.
Says Lisa, "We are all in it for the long term here and it shows. We all have different skill sets and backgrounds and Kevin encourages us to be creative and share our talents. We have a great work environment.
“We are serving our clients at a much higher level, using a more complete business model, and offering advice that is simple and makes good sense. It’s all about what makes our clients the happiest and most comfortable, not about what is going to make us the highest commissions. There is no longer a conflict between sales and what is truly best for our clients. It is a nice change, and you can feel it when you walk in the door.”
When not at work Lisa loves to read, garden, and play with her dogs.
After completing business management classes at the University of Kentucky, Joel trained with and then worked for the Lincoln Thoroughbred Agency for two years with noted success, rising to the top of his fellow rookie agents.
At that point, Joel became an independent agent for five years, contracting with seventeen different life and health insurance companies. He was also an affiliated agent of Family Wealth Strategies for three years.
Joel worked through MedLink as an individual and group health agent, building a book of business from 2006—2010. He is excited to once again be working in close proximity to his father.
In his spare time Joel enjoys golfing, working out, UK basketball and dinner and movies with his lovely fiancée. Joel also takes pleasure in
volunteering; two local causes close to his heart are the MASH Outreach (a non-profit half-way house for children in need) and visiting those
hospitalized and in need, which he has been able to do in the past through Southland Christian Church.
As the youngest of Kevin's sons, Joel is a self-proclaimed “Momma's boy” and not ashamed to admit it. He and his fiancée plan to tie the knot in Spring 2013.
Jessica is the latest addition to Family Wealth Group. Miss Stockdale first moved to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky, and now holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management. She loves Lexington, and was thrilled to accept what she considers her first “big girl” job here at FWG. One thing Jessica enjoys about her role within the company is getting to know the people who walk through our doors. Anytime you call the office, come in for an appointment or attend one of our seminars, Jessica is there to ensure you are well taken care of.
In her spare time she enjoys exercising, playing tennis and spending time with friends and loved ones. She enjoys watching UK basketball—she even had the pleasure to experience the 2012 Final Four in New Orleans her senior year of college!
